  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons of Wholefood Essentials Organic Ginger Powder
  • 2 32-ounce containers of low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 medium parsnips, peeled and chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium turnip, peeled and chopped (1Β½ cups)
  • Β½ teaspoon kosher salt

Step 1. Boil the chicken breasts and add a pinch of salt for seasoning.

Step 2. Take the chicken off the heat. While it cools, put the oil in a separate pan and saute the garlic, ginger and onion slices for around two minutes.

Step 3. Next is to prepare the broth. Put on the heat and mix in the parsnips, carrots, turnip, celery and the Β½ teaspoon of kosher salt. Bring to a boil first, and then turn down the heat to let it simmer for around 18 minutes.

Step 4. Get the chicken breasts and start shredding them into the broth as it simmers.

Step 5. Add the peas and scallions last. Keep the soup on the heat for another four minutes to make sure they're well-cooked as well.

Enjoy! πŸ˜‹
