So you’ve heard that coconut sugar is a healthy alternative to regular processed sugar. Where can you start using it?
How about just using it in your next batch of good ‘ol chocolate chip cookies? 🍪
Prep Time: 30-45 minutes ⏲️
Step 1. Stir the flour, salt and baking soda together in a medium bowl.
Step 2. In a second bowl, mix two tablespoons of the coconut sugar with the chocolate chips and walnuts, then set aside.
Step 3. Take a third bowl and start whisking the butter while adding in the rest of the coconut sugar until the butter is creamy.
Step 4. Beat the egg and vanilla into the creamy butter mix.
Step 5. Pour in the contents of the first two bowls into the third. Mix them well!
Step 6. Use a teaspoon to scoop out your cookies from the batter and onto the tray.
Step 7. Bake at 190 ºC for 8 to 10 minutes or until brown.
